A lot of my friends knew me in the old days when we were ALL a lot thinner! Several of us have had weight issues over the years, and now that I'm on the slippery slope, they are saying 'Welcome back!' to the Kate they used to know. I suppose it's a bit different when you still see a lot of the 'old gang' from college days! Some of us have known each other since our late teens - best part of 30 years! We are well into the round of Silver Weddings here! Next it'll be our kids getting married, and we'll all want to look good for the wedding photos!
The evil thing is that for the blokes it doesn't seem to be a matter of waistline changes as much as a deterioration in the beard colour... --
