Just do a special download with your newsreader and download maybe 200 or
300 headers. Unless your ISP's servers only keep posts for a day or so you
    can probably re-download the messages.

I can do that... but if any threads are getting "interesting" the new
posts will show up again shortly anyway and then I can read the whole
    thread (or not) 😉

It comes in handy when one is away from ones computer.

Or......... when one has a blonde moment and deletes everything ;-P

So now you have the perfect excuse to start over with a clean slate...
(and it'll probably be a lot easier to keep up-to-date for awhile!)

Last night I was relaxing, watching a little TV before bed. When I got up to
go upstairs for the night, I couldn't find my business cell, which I knew I
    had
with me as I watched TV because I took a call. After searching around for
a while, I gave up and went up to bed.

As I was getting undressed I discovered I had tucked in in my bra for
    safekeeping. 🙂

With mine it's even easier, one of the choices is to get messages for a
    specified range of dates.

This is a habit of mine, too, I especially do that with money. When my
oldest was 18 months old, he picked up a dollar bill and he stuck it
down the front of his shirt. I guess he was watching me too closely! LOL

If it wasn't turned off, why didn't you just call the cell number to
    find it?

My exDIL always had her cellphone glued to her ear - yapping on it.
It was both funny and sad at the same time to see her walk around with
the cellphone up to her ear and my grandchild walking next to her with
his wooden block held up to his ear. It was cute to watch, but sad to
know that was her idea of quality interaction with her child.

I don't think Thunderbird is configurable enough to do that. Sure is
handy in Xnews (and Pan, and slrn, and...), though.

Or just sort the current articles by date instead of a threaded
view (or whatever view you use), and work your way backwards
through to the last time you read news.

    LOL!!!!

One night , after the couple had retired for the night, the woman became
aware that her husband was touching her in a most unusual manner.
He started by running his hand across her shoulders and the small of her
back. He ran his hand over her breasts, touching them very lightly.
Then, he proceeded to run his hand gently down her side, sliding his
hand over her stomach, and then down the other side to a point below her
    waist.

He continued on, gently feeling her hips, first one side and the the
    other.

His hand ran further down the outside of her thighs.
His gentle probing then started up the inside of her left thigh, stopped
and the returned to do the same to her right thigh.

By this time the woman was becoming aroused and she squirmed a little to
    better position herself.

The man stopped abruptly and rolled over to his side of the bed.

" Why are you stopping darling?" she whispered.

He whispered back, " I found the remote!"
