  1. L'Equipe is also publishing inflammatory articles that attempt to
    implicate
Marion Jones in a doping scandal. These articles use similarly flimsy
    evidence
as in the LA book. For example, one such article stated that she was
caught "red handed" (en flagrant delit) talking to Ben Johnson's old
    coach.

Can't we just apply some corticosteroid ointment? I can get us an
    antedated recipe (allegedly).

Actually she was seeking help from Ben Johnson old coach. There are
actually pictures of her doing so. She actually continued training
with him for a little while after the photos were released last year
but buckled soon afterward as public outcry mounted. She later
    apologized for "poor" judgement.

Her ex-husband, CJ Hunter was banned form atlanta for a positive
anabolic steriod test (nandrolone a believe).

Her current husband Tim Montgomery is one of the five athletes who
have recieved a letter stating that a formal investigation has been
started into their use of THG the designer steriod created by BALCO
    labs

A check from Marion for 7,000 dollars was made out to BALCO
labratories was revcovered in a string the raided their Bay area
    offices.

A calalender that appears to be a doping schedule has been found with
the initials MJ on it some of the info appears to be consistent with
events in Marion Jones' life however other parts appear to be
    inconsitent.

She has no received an offical proceedings letter such as the one Tim
Montgomery has, but USADA has admitted that it is investigating her.

These are the facts as I know them. Whether she has actually done
anything wrong remains to be seen, but the case against her is far
less flimsy. And it seems to me that there is about a 50/50 chance
that she is going to be banned from Athens.

Jacques Rogge (another famous Belgian) came out last week and said that
positive tests were only one form of evidence to detect doping. Fair
comment, since the battle is on many different levels.

Ilan, the BBC also published a chart last week that more or less
"presented the evidence and let the reader judge for themselves"
regarding Marion Jones and Charlie Francis. I posted the link here last
    week.

It was the Sydney games - he withdrew before the games rather than get
    banned

Montgomery is not her husband. He is "Her baby's daddy"

The check was written by Hunter on Jones' account.

As far as I know, Hunter never came out and admitted to doping, although the
evidence seems overwhelming. I heard that part of the divorce settlement
included a clause prohibiting them from talking about each other in public.
Jones later made a comment to the effect of "I wanted to beleive he was
clean, but when you look at all the evidence, it's hard to." This
apparently caused Hunter to come forward now. "... nor hell a furry like a
    (wo)Man scorned."

I would say that Preparation H would be more appropriate to ease the pain.
I don't know whether it is proscribed.

Didn't her ex-husband test positive for steroids, and wasn't Marion
    connected somehow to BALCO?
