  1. For those of you who think that Paolo Savoldelli doesn't smile:

The guy is pretty handsome for an Italian......

Do you think so?? Not my type...... Personally I think Ivan Basso is
extremely good looking, also Luciano Pagliarini the Brazilian cyclist.
Stuey O'Grady's quite cute and Santiago Botero is too.
I've never met Basso but I've met the other 3 on several occasions and they
are also very nice to talk to.

Savoldelli looks good in that picture, but not so much in general. I
was just thinking about Basso -- he has an amazing face. And Botero's
    eyes are amazing.

I remember an old skit about a couple of sportscasters covering womens
gymnastics at the Olympics. You guys are ALMOST there. I wish I could
remember the original skit well enough to direct you to a web page with
the script. I'm thinking "In Living Color" or something.

Oh no, not Botero's eyes again. I remember listening to TDF coverage on
Eurosport, with Christine (Phil Anderson's wife) as the color commentator.
She just went on and on about Botero's beautiful eyes.

Overall I'd say Basso and Voekler are probably two of the better faces in
    the peloton.

Ivan Basso is as handsome as they come. I love watching him.. he's kind
of like Virenque without the pretentious affectations.

Sounds like ABC covering an Ironman competition.

  11. Basso is adorable.

Simoni is quite charming, but looks kinda geeky in his Lampre gear and
    helmet.
Petacchi is a looker too. Yummy.
But, Danilo DiLuca has been grabbing my eye lately.

  12. [censored]

Personally, I prefer to "look at" women cyclists.

I am old enough to remember Rebecca Twigg, Paula Pezzo in Atlanta , and the
Women's diving at the LA Olympics in 1984. Now that was good.

Hmmm, would that be Daphne Jongejans, by any chance? (I thought of her
as Daphne de YumYum, but that's another story...).

Ah.. DiLuca ..now he turned up to the "Vuelta" party last year, dressed in
white jeans and T-shirt, and he didn't look naff!!
