indeed a specially equipped sniper.

I see "armor piercing" on the list of rounds resisted by the
Dragonskin, in addition to some questioning of the reliability of the
"Army line" on Dragonskin.

Indeed, far too many "civilians" are running around stomping all over

shot in a part of the body not covered by body armor in a discussion
about body armor.

a "sniper rifle" at all. Inaccurate (3-in 100yd groups "normal" for
this semi-auto with stamped parts).
Or you could look it up yourself-- "dedicated marksman rifle, with
flash suppressor, issued one per company to Russian soldiers. Used to
return fire without revealing the location of the company", is close
enough.

So, 4-600 yards away, and still hit what he was aiming at? And how was
it exactly they ID'd the projectile as being armor-piercing in the
first place? Lotta "doubt it" in that story. --D-y

Not getting into this. Just want to comment on terminology.
Things like "Armor piercing", "assault rifle", "sniper rifle",
"sniper", etc... are thrown around and attached to things they just
don't belong on or have been broadened so much that they have no real
meaning as used.
It does make it tough to have a discussion when everyone has a
different understanding of what the words involved mean.
