  1. Well, turns out that neglecting to charge my Digital Headtrip battery
following my surgery means I have a price to pay... 'bout $200 by the
time all is said and done.

So remember folks, regardless of the reason for a protracted time off
the bike, don't neglect giving your batteries proper attention.

Wait a minute... That was four nite rides, at the cost of the system
PLUS $200 for a replacement battery.

I'm gonna have to do a whole heck of a lot of nite riding to get the
cost per ride down into a more reasonable range... <sigh>

Shouldn't it be possible to charge and discharge it a few times until
the battery holds near full capacity again?

$200?! How about going to batterystation.com and having them
assemble a nice 6V 4500mAh pack for you? Should be under $50
    shipped to your door.

The Digital Headtrip I have, an older model, has a 5.5mm/2.5mm
(OD/ID) barrel connector. You can get one and solder it on,
or just cut off and re-use the one from your dead battery pack.

It won't accept any kind of charge. Did the whole NiteRider tech support
thing (they were quite good), but to no avail sadly.

    Never thought of that! Thanks.

I'll try a local place that does all kinds of battery work first.
