There is this moron in our gym who thinks it is his job to throw away the magazines people bring in. You get a wild assortment including [censored] I'm not interested in (i.e., Cosmo) but some guys bring in their Muscle & Fitness and Weider mags and I prefer to read them used than to pay for them new. Sucks that this guy just scoops them up and tosses them in the garbage just because he thinks he can. Would like to wrap a tire iron around his skull.

He's probably worried that people will think they won't need him if they can get information elsewhere.

Can you speak with the gym management? Do you know who the person is or are they snatching the mags when no one's looking? The Gold's in Carlisle has a magazine rack with a variety of magazines. Suprisingly, no bodybuilding mags at all.
Typically, I read a book while on the treadmill, but sometimes I'll check out an old issue of Sports Illustrated, Car and Driver, Newsweek, etc.
Please hold off on beating the magazine snatcher's skull in. There must be a more sensible way to solve your dilemma.

Ask him why he's trowing those particular mas away. After he hem-haws around, tell him it is a gym, not a doctor's office. 😉

Which is more frightening, taking a traners advice or a muscle rag's advice?

The magazine is cheaper and less annoying.
