    Stellar, mate.

    JD

  3. Some great pictures, I like the summit one.

    What do you shoot with?

    Laters,

    Marz

  4. They look almost surreal being above the clouds.

    Hiking, yes.

Same shonky old camera I've had for the last 4 years - saw one in a junk
shop last week for fifty quid.

  7. Nice, which area is this?

Those shots are on Skiddaw, but it's been like that for a few days -
freezing fog in the valleys, t-shirts on the tops.

Riding conditions have been perfect - skittery slate frozen together en
masse, with the surface ice taken off by the sun. Town's been full of grumpy
people complaining about the miserable grey weather - who am I to disabuse
    them of this notion...?

Lethally slippy below the cloud layer, mind - good job I'll shortly be
taking delivery of a set of Schwalbe Ice Spikers...

  9. Heaven! 🙂

  10. Where is this nice out this morning at? A dusting of
snow in the wee morning hours here but just changed to rain for the rest
    of the day. Happy Thanksgiving.

  11. Very nice spot on cloud nine.

Last week man, look at the date entered into Fotopic, the 15th.

Um, nope - the album was created on the 15th. Check the individual pics and
you'll see they were added yesterday, the 23rd.

Also, Crazy's grammar and syntax can best be described as eccentric, but
it's clear from his first sentence he was asking 'where', not 'when'.

  14. Hmm could be up that way in a week or so, a little ice adds to the
    winter fun:-)
    Cheers,
    Steve.

The ice spiker tyres worked very well -
    http://homepages.tesco.net/tracksterman/ice-spiker.jpg

Too heavy and draggy for general use, but had a very good grip on sheet ice
that enabled us to ride in sub-zero conditions we couldn't have otherwise
    handled the other day -

  16. Fantastic pics once again, I'm definitely going to head up this weekend.

Looks like the weather's reverted to type, unfortunately - the rockier stuff
will be OK, but where we were on Tuesday will just be a morass now the
    ice/snow has melted.

Make sure you're geared up. Idiot ill-equipped walkers getting rescued seems
to be the recurring theme here this winter...two more this week, no extra
clothing or torches(flashlights) - but hey, that's OK because they had a
mobile phone! The MRT sound like they're getting a tad exasperated.

Worth saving if you want to check out the local conditions before a trip...

The MRT mebbe oughta take pistols with them and just euthanase the idiots
when they find them. Maybe word would get out then, that going out into
those conditions, ill prepared, thinking a phone call will get them outa
trouble because 'well, the MRT won't let us kark it!', is actually a 100%
    lethal course of action.

Well anyway, those are my rational thoughts on this. Cheers!

  20. Cheers, will keep that. Plans have changed and I'm heading up to the
peaks, will keep an eye out for when it gets frosty again as it looked
    sooo good.
