Let's see Syria..what do we have there..a secular, autocratic, middle eastern dictatorship. So what
    does this mean?

Of course like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon (via Syria), Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, UAE,
Bahrain,Algeria, etc. and of course Saddam himself...you basically have a US puppet government. Well
its the French in Algeria but anyways...

Syria stirs the pot every now and then but they basically always cave in to American pressure. The
last thing america wants in the region is democracy because those governments would be less stable,
    less predictable and less friendly.

So know your facts before you condone spending your tax dollars and young american soldiers to die
killing kids for the sake of enriching their superiors who would never dare go fight themselves.

I'm surprised they haven't found WMD in Iraq...they should still have the receipts after all.

    Peace,

    SDC

That's what I'm afraid of. It cost us $184 billion and 455 young Americans to capture a man for
having weapons of mass destruction that he didn't have.

...and just in time to boost mid-American morale for the Christmas holiday spending season. Wal-Mart
    should be up 24/7 now!

Just to really get conspiracy nonsense going, who else expects we get Osama in early October, just
    in time for Bush-Cheney '04? 🙂

That's ok, the US has a huge budget surplus to play with. Oh wait, my mistake, the US is actually
running a deficit of about 1/2 trillion USD...

Tis true. And who's to say he didn't have them? They just haven't been found. I'm not sure we ever
even "looked". Of all things related we have found, it seems we just "stumbled" onto them. Much
like his capture. Apparently our boys had already chewed up the area he was found in before, but
didn't find him until they went back. 🙁

    Quoted message said:

Obviously he had them, you can't grow a beard like that in 9 months without some sort of genetically
    altered material.

Yes I believe they will thaw his body out the week before, put him on a stealth bomber and drop him
back in Afghanistan right in front of some low ranking redneck grunt so he can be a hero without
upstaging the administration. Also, I expect Bush will see the Norad report of an unidentifed
aircraft flying over the North Pole on Christmas even and nuke Moscow.

With what, exactly? We've more than got our hands full with Iraq, and will continue for the
    forseeable future.

I think we'll be out of Iraq by June.

Out of Iraq or out of money?

Phew. Glad you have it all figured out. In my opinion, Syria caves to American pressure because they
know we could very easily make a left turn and load onto sealift in the Med vice Kuwait leaving
behind more trashed Russian gear. Why do you think Iran is being so nice these days? Joint task
forces on port and starboard create polite Iranian dialogue. Syria? House of cards. Iran? House of
cards.(Iran more so for my money.) I hear there is good MTB'ing in the Lebanon/Syrian border region.
May be worth a left turn after all......................

BTW, the jury is still out on the wmd issue. Sorry to say. I know this
causes pain for you and people who think like you though. You don't know
what they have found or haven't found (neither do it for that matter).
