Anglo-Welsh cyclo-drinkers club has been disbanded due to lack of
english partishipants.

Today we'll be going to the Wheatsheaf, Llanhennock, meet 14:30 at the
Angel, Caerleon. Ok, probably not the mileage you're looking for, but
it's a lovely day for a beer garden.

No, I'm in Newport. We don't care about bike styles, as long as it's

The Cardiff and South Wales DA run a ride every Sunday morning. They start
from Cardiff and ride 35-45 miles. When they ride east (around half the times)
they are happy to stop at Newport to allow someone to join them. They ride at
moderate speeds that almost everybody can manage. They turn up at a nice pub
at Lunchtime. Depending on the leader it will be good for beer or food,
usually both.

The Cardiff Cycling Campaign run a Wednesday evening ride and they will allow
you to join on route. They ride a little quicker that the CTC. In theory it
should be more sedate but slow riders do not stay slow. Ride and contact info

do you start on a Sunday, and where from? Although for the time it

I can make the R&F, Penhow. Usk is doable, but AFAIK all but the Kings
Head close mid afternoon.

We used to use the Carps, Shiren\\\\Mynydd Bach some years back.
Not the same incentive now they no longer stock Owd Roger (or was it Old
Tom? - the memory fails).

Tintern is good, albeit a bit of a boring slog along the A48 to Chepstow
and then the up & over the top past the racecourse.
