Rich
The sad part of your post is that I really did do those things in the
country and you city kids have no room to admit you ever did anything
wrong. Wrong use of lane or something but not the speeds I have done.
Poor little Rich, missing out on some serious adrenalin rushes,
But I guess that is what coward do.
There is often a fine line between brave and stupid, but in your case
the line is quite broad.
I'm sure there are a number of people on this newsgroup who have done
some outrageous, daring, and possibly downright dangerous feats. But,
onlike you, they feel no need to exaggerate and brag, no need to
prove, what a big man they are.
When I say I did something, that means I did it, not imagined it.
And many of those things I would NOT repeat again like trying to touch
200 MPH on a motorcycle, but I didn't like the thought of being caught
and thrown in jail either. I may have only been going 180 MPH, but
hauling ass either way. With the tricycle event it did happen but
trikes don't have speedometers on them. I was a reckless child and
I still am a reckless adult so if you have a problem with me having
fun just call the folks at the funny farm. The only difference between
then and now is that I know damn well when I go over the line it is going
to hurt, so I don't get wild and crazy that often.

Little Bill, you are the only one, who is constantly talking of his
exploits, most of which have nothing to do with bicycling. And it
sounds like, even amongst children, you feel the need to prove what a
big man you are. My guess is, that those neighborhood kids don't look
up to you, they find you amusing. As they grow up, you will become a
joke in there eyes. "Remember that little guy who did all the stupid
stunts?" "Oh yeah, you mean little bill".
Little Bill who has put larger [censored] in the hospital. Read the
Healdsburg newspaper, which is only a weekly up there for the summer
of 2001, but all it says is that there was an altercation between
a 52 year old on a bicycle and a 22 year old (quite drunk) in a pick up.
I only danced with him because I was afraid of what might have happened
if I did lose it and go all Kung Foo on him. That is not what I practice
however, more of a mix and jumble. The point being that I could have killed
him before he dropped but if he was the mayors kid I would be in deep [censored].
As it turns out there were about a dozen witness who wished I had dropped
him and wanted me to press charges. I may be only 5'7" but don't get in
my face. I wasn't even in my 'protect the kids' mode at that point.

Like I've said, I'm mostly amused by your BS, quite bothered by your
bad advice, and now sickened by your prejudiced, near-racist
ramblings.
Specifically what bad advice? I have said that on ocasion I will move to
the wrong side of the road to avoid a train of semis but I don't
reccommend it.
And for the final time, I am not racist, I would be happy if everyone just
spoke the same language. In California here we have things printed in so
many languages it is sometimes hard to find the English, if it is on there
at all. And I was in error (damn typo again) when I said that blondes
would be extinct by 2002, it was 2200. That study was done by a Nordic
country which I think was Sweden, not by me, so go up there and blame them.
