Newbie having fun, pump question

My Topeak Road Morph, in addition to being the best bike mounted pump I've ever used, comes with a
plastic strap/worm gear mounting. The strap is about 9 inches long.

If that is long enough, it will easily mount the pump on the bottom of the main tube.

Time for the old "string trick", eh?

Thanks for the idea. As a new bent rider, Windcheetah Club Sport, I've got the same probs re tube
size and pumps. Still, well worth the minor probs for the fun of the thing.

I would probably put the pump in the handlebar bag. I'm getting a Topeak Turbo Morph sometime soon
though, I think it has the frame mount as well, though I might just stash it in my bag anyway. I'm
not going to need it on most rides :-)

The Fast Back Seat Pack availible for Baccetta at
hostelshoppe.comsearch.plOpen ↗ has straps for a tire pump, bag for
hydrations systems and a bag for the other stuff. This is what I use on my Strada. I also use the
CO2 inflators with a small Crank Brothers tire pump which fit in the bag.

Are you aware that there are water bottle mounting tabs on the seat frame? You might find the one on
the stem to be in the way. I do not like extra weight there.

I just got an REI Piton day pack ($20) and use it on my custom Giro. The black and silver looks very
good on the bike. I used two short velcro straps to fasten the hand loop to the top of the seat
frame. I shortened (to the max) the shoulder straps and draped them over the top corners of the
seat. I zip tied the loops at the bottom of the bag the the "u" thing where the top of the seat
stays attach. If you want to go deluxe, a Trader Joes laundry detergent bottle can be cut to provide
a wear guard and stiffner for the bottom.

Now, the answer to your question on pumps. I put the pump in the bag. It is clean, easy, and does
not clutter the bike. Don
