  1. just saying Hello, found the forum while looking for info on Sun Solo bikes as I have just acquired one to add to my other classic bikes
a 60,s Royal Enfield clubman and a Carlton from the 70's.been into cycling on and off since I was a little sprog,I'm hoping to find out more about my bikes as time goes by.

  2. Hello all ,
I've just stared cycling again after a break due to illness which is going well i have a Cube Peleton as i'm 117 kg and needed the extra gears but would like some advice

1.My hand start to go numb after riding for a while( 20 mins ) i moved to seat but still having problem, any advice on reducing/stopping the problem

2, I'm not sure the best food is for pre-ride and during i ride 40-70 km depending on how i feel and seem to run out of energy on the longer rides

    any advice/links would be appreciated.

  3. Your hand goes numb because its lacking blood flow. take it off the bar and move your arm around to get the blood flowing whenever this happens.

    Eat whatever before riding.

You arent eating carbohydrates during the ride.

Try chocolate milk, energy drinks with carbs in them. Dried fruit. Bread. Pasta. Cereal.

    Stay away from sugar though.

Have You ever heard of a CCM?

  5. thanks for the advice will put in to practice

    What is CCM ?

  6. CCM is a department store bike. I am proving that its just as good as any high priced performance bike.

It's a department store bike, and with such bikes you get what you pay for. Department store bikes quite often come with substandard parts and build quality. You should also keep in mind that Hillrider is a troll and offers nothing to back up/substantiate his claims. You're not actually looking for a new bike, are you? You said you're currently riding a Cube. Unless you issues with hand numbness can't be resolved, there's probably no reason to stoop to buying a bike that's a POS compared to yours.

  8. I have a valid point. I have 2 bikes one is a 5000 dollar bike with full suspension. fox float shocks all that fancy stuff. And I have a 50 dollar CCM road/mountain bike. I am proving that a 50 dollar bike does the same exact job that an expensive bike does.

Does troll = sophisticated biking proffesional because it it does then thats a very adept description.

Just because you think you're credible doesn't mean are, troll.

  10. Your just jealous of My abilities and confidence.

Did You fail drill instructor school or something?

  11. Yes, you've a singular ability to display ignorance.

  12. Thank You for this compliment.

  13. not being funny but it was from a specialist bike shop and cost 849 euros maybe cheap in the grand scheme of cycling with bikes costing thousands but its defo not a bargin basement bike !!!

  14. There is a saying in intergalactic proffessional bike competing that goes like this

"Its not the cost of the bike that determines how much lightspeed you can attain, its the mind capability of the rider to apply the force" - Yoda
