Currently battering the wheels on my Ridgeback Genesis Day 00 with 110 miles a week through London.
Suffered a few broken spokes. The guys I've spoken to in various bike shops all say 'good rims but
cheap spokes and hubs'.
There seems to be a general quote from all the shops of around £40 per wheel for a rebuild with new
hubs and spokes.
sjs cycles are doing what looks like a good deal on a new pair...quote from their webpage :
'Wheels pair 700c Sun CR18 silver rims with Shimano RM40 8/9spd 36h hubs 135mm oln with skewers
fantastic value, this is only the cost of the rims, the hubs, spokes and labour come free! Black
hubs Price: £65.98'
Does this sound like a good deal? Are they up to the stresses of city riding? Or am I better getting
the current ones rebuilt?
On a seperate note, anybody bought from sjs before?
Cheers.
Bob.
