Thoughts? Personally, I think that the value has gone way down, especially where components are concerned. And, only 4 bikes (not counting WSD as seperate) below Madone?

i have 2 trek's a 930 mtn bike and a 2000 (year) 5500 usps edition and like both bikes. it seems like when they started produce the 5900 and the madone the factory focused all their attention towards the madone and forgot about anything else. i've looked at several other companies and my next bike will either be a specialized or something from italy. trek's lineup hasn't impressed me for the past couple of years.

It's disappointing. I have a 1000, 1500 and 2000, all of which I like a lot. Great value and cycle very, very, well. I also happen to think CF is rank value for money. So, yes, for me they've spent the year developing a range of bikes I couldn't care less about, and cetainly don't plan to buy.Oh, well.

I had a trek 930. Mine was blue with black splash. I think it was a '92 or '93. One of the most solid bikes I ever owned. That bike took some abuse.

The only Trek's I liked were the Pilot spa models. They discontinued them so I got the 2007 Pilot 2.1 spa on sale for $1400 clearance price.

I agree with you. The quality is getting worse...

I used to ride a '06 Lemond, made by trek, loved it, but I'm disappointed in the new ones. my bike shop doesn't even carry new Lemonds.
