Just looks like fairly standard "news wire" type feeds to help the radio/TV journos get the pronunciation vaguely correct. I regularly hear pronunciations on the radio that make me cringe, but how Radio National got "Canley Vale" from Canning Vale the other day I don't know!

I had to have a quick check on the RN web site to remind myself who you were referring to as there is also a BBC Radio 4 programme called Counterpoint that I used to listen to. Care to take the challenge and see which Counterpoint host is the most annoying git?

Hmmm.... that does put a different light on it, but now we're getting away from the personality/speech modes to the "objectionable views" aspect. Duffy might win on that scale, but Sherrin romps home on the "irritating to even listen to" scale. Have you listened to the BBC link above yet? I bet you can't sit through a whole programme without thinking "STFU you little [censored]!"
