Every trike I've seen seems to be around 10-11 mph if not slower whereas I
used to do 12-15 on my Vision USS, I now average 18-21 on the Optima Baron
if I had to guess on a normal bike I'd say somewhere around 14-15, in the
end its up to the rider's ability but a trike will be slower (from what I've
seen), still looks like a fun ride tho

I would think it would be easier to somehow mount it on the wall sideways
with a couple of large wall hooks? Bad thing about bents is most accessories
designed for standard bikes do not for recumbents

Like any other pedal powered vehicle, the first thing is how strong and fit
the rider are. Most people I know who start on a trike hang around the 20 -
22 kph range. This quickly rises to the mid 20s if you ride them regularly.
If you ride a lot and aim at improving your fitness, you can comfortably
cruise at 28 - 32 kph. Recumbents will usually be faster for the same
rider.

Again, depends on your space. Most that I know park them. Others mount
them vertically on the wall with big hardware store hooks and another bought
small pulleys and hoists them up to the ceiling in his garage.

Aside from a small child, the answer would be no. Do you drive your car
with someone else in your lap? Same applies to trikes.

It isn't easy to find test rides in the NY area. I live in White Plains. I
had to take a trip down to Maryland to find a bike shop with a variety of
bikes and especially trikes to ride.

The Tricruiser that I bought I didn't get to ride first. I took a chance. It
is the only tadpole that is high off the ground. It isn't the work of art
that a Greenspeed, Wizwheels, or Trice is but I can get into and out of it
easily and for me that makes all the difference.

The Anthrotech is a tadpole with a high seat. However, it is rather more
expensive than the Tricruiser at 2150 Euro, and the closest dealers to
New York are in England.

Very interesting. Thanks.

I like the folding seat and I imagine that they've been around a little
longer than the Tricruiser. The Tricruiser configured the way I wanted it
was close to $1,500 (including shipping) so the price difference isn't as
great as you would imagine.

It does look like a "high tadpole" and I'd love to try one some day.

I have ridden both last year's and this year's model of that exact
trike for about 5 months.
I have also had upto 6 recumbent trikes, most of them tadpoles.
Tadpole trikes are my favourite type of cycle for many reasons. Like
any cycle there are pluses and negatives.
Almost every trike tends to be slower than aregular bike, but also
have many advantages, such as load carrying, comfort, ease of
operation, etc.

You can hang them from a hook by the rear wheel.

I was just at the Bentrider events in the Finger Lakes region and
there were many bent trikes including the Eco-cycle there.
