Just got back from a company event which was basically a Field Team Meeting~ in a field ! We stayed at Pindale Farm in the Peak District in sight and definitely sound of the huge Cement Works, what a tragic place to put this monstrosity. Had a great afternoon at the Hollowford Centre on their High ropes course, ~ Four people standing right on top of a telegraph pole is quite a challenge ! Well Done Babs and Chris if you read post's here !
However, managed to get 10 out of tents early this morning to walk the ridge from Mam Tor to Losehill and down into Townhead bridge ! Just about 1.5 hours but a great way to start the day in an area I have never walked in. Wynatts Pass ? I think, ~ was quite spectacular for such a confined area, would be great if it was more remote and without a road up the middle of it !
Not bad couple of days though, camping and getting paid !

It's a fun place to drive up in winter when it's covered in snow or ice!

Well the other one collapsed some years ago.
IIRC Winnats Pass is a collapsed cave system; there's another at the back of Peveril Castle thats not got a road in it, but I can't recall what it's called.

Dirtlow Rake. Yes, its just to the south of Castleton. Mostly quarries these days, I'm afraid. Some of the cave systems have been destroyed. We are so short-sighted sometimes.
