Looks like Schwalbe City Jets roll OK.

Damn good tyres although I've only done a max of 38mph on mine (not
that anyone believes me) coasting downhill. However they have also
coped with my bulk of 26 stone without problems but now I'm a more
reasonable but still very fat 21 stone. Still struggling to lose any
more at the moment but seem to be getting huge veins and muscles
developing in my legs so its not all bad.

Yeah, it's great what cycling does for you - not only can I now wear shorts
without looking like a flamingo, but women keep stroking my legs :-)

Quite jealous of the 21 stone thing - not only does it give you a bigger
workout going up the hills, but you get to go faster down them!

  5. 73.0 mph :-)

    Michelin X are OK too.

I have just fitted them to my new Urban Bike (my new name for roadified MTB,
    slick tyres, mudguards)

Thats not what I want them to stroke though ;-)

Your the first person ever to be jealous of my weight. If your ever
down my way I can always climb onto your shoulders while you attempt
to cycle up a super steep hill. That should be an even better workout
for you. Personally I'd rather be about 15 stone with super easy hill
    workouts.

I'm probably at around your net weight when I have 50 Kg of coal in the
back of the 8 Freight (which itself weighs about 20, and I'm 76). The
route home from the fuel merchants does involve a pretty workmanlike
hill (about 40-50m ascent), and though it's okay it's not something I
look forwards to in the sort of way that I go round and do it again just
    for fun!

This reminds me to remind you, heavy loads up hills are /much/ easier
with clipless pedals. It's also a great deal kinder to your knees.

    Pete.

Cycling does little, if anything, to improve the looks of your love
    muscle!

I always find that a small-medium sized salami down my lycra bib
shorts turns the ladies' heads, but doing 57.4mph at the same time
might cause a problem or two.
