  1. I know that the major soda distributors, Coke, 7-Up, etc.
have been introducing more new flavors such as vanilla Coke
    and blue Pepsi.

When I was at the market yesterday I noticed some new ones
from independent producers. There was also a big display of
Inka Cola which has actually been around for years but is
not sold in many places. To me its flavor tastes like bubble
gum. The new sodas were pomegranate, peach-pear and the most
    unusual of all, tarragon.

    I like the lime Coke.

I like [censored] cola, manufacturer say it is pronounced
fewkola cola, no one I know pronounces it that way.

I saw a bottle of "Clementine" Soda @ the local 7/11 a few
weeks ago. Not checking the label until I got home was my
mistake. Apple or grape juice, I forget which, was the first
ingredient. Further down about 5 ingred. was orange juice.
Wat a rip off. Tarragon sounds interesting, I'll be looking
    for that one.

Inka Cola is the national soft drink of Peru; it has a hold
on Peruvians not unlike the relationship of Irn-Bru to
Scots. It shows up wherever Peruvian emigrants go. Not to my
taste; I've also read it described as "essence of a half-
    kilo of Gummi Bears".

That's what *I* want to know Wayne! The "strangest" flavor
I've come across in our local grocery store is Vanilla Pepsi
    and I'm hooked on that.

The new Coke with Lime is the only one of the series of new
flavors that I like. As much as I love the flavor of
vanilla, I cannot stand it when combined with cola drinks or
in scented candles. It literally makes me want to throw up.

I don't know what it is about sodas, but they trick me
every time. I don't drink them often, only when the weather
gets hot or when I want something special. I'll see some
local brand with a cool name and a promise of an
interesting flavor. All that marketing goes to my head, and
I forget to check ingredients. The last time it was an
apple and pear soda in a bottle to make it look like
champagne from Harry and David's. Under the cute looking
cork was an ordinary bottle top. The taste was identical to
7-up. THEN I checked the label, and saw that I was drinking
carbonated sugar-water with some artificial apple and pear
    flavorings thrown in.

Not at all bad, especially with a generous correction of

I understand that Jones soda makes a turkey and gravy
flavored soda that is available around the thanksgiving
season. Has anyone tried it? I would like pick up two
bottles, one because I just have to try it, and the other so
I can save it to prove that I'm telling the truth when I
    describe it to others.

Hmmm, I'm surprised none of that makes it over to the

Am I conflating this with lime rickeys, or did lime coke
used to be a fountain drink when I was a kid?
