I know those guys! The came to Ottawa to join HPVOoO in our Santa
Parade in 2004. The CouchBike is constructed so that they can just
transport the frame, and borrow a 2-seater to fit. See photos at my
site, incl. a good one I got of them right behind me (I was on my cargo
    trike):

Also you can follow the link I have there to the HPVOoO events page for
2004, and look for the Parade pics. Our group has done a lot of fun
and crazy stuff over the past few years, incl. making a trailer to
carry a full-sized Hammond organ, complete with organist!

  3. Apologies for the cross-posting. I thought it was only going to ARBR,
and the folks at RBT have already seen my links.

Not to worry, surely! It's certainly news to me; cool stuff! Thanks
    for (re-?) posting.

I'd love to do STP on that thing.

Well, you will never see NYC apologizing for all his inane cross-posting.
Occasionally cross-posting does make some sense, but mostly it does not.
Folks who cross post [censored]-nilly have their brains scrambled. There is not
much that can be done for them except to kick them in their asses from time
to time to remind them just how stupid they are.

    Hull 697

All top posters are idiots! Hull should first excerpt something from a
previous message and then his message can follow. After all, his message
above is not an original post. But I am sure all of this is rocket science
to him and he will never understand anything at all about proper posting to
    a newsgroup.

I do not want Mr. Sherman to ever think I am picking on him. It is just that
he is one of the more intelligent posters here on ARBR and the main reason I
am still here myself. I will only take after him when he goes off the
reservation on one of his liberal rants, but I must admit he does not do
that anymore. Since he does not do it, I don't either - at least not with
    him.

I think my main mission now on ARBR is to be a housekeeper. This fits in
with my former occupation as a college librarian which was mostly about
housekeeping. I will leave the encouraging words to others on the group who
are more fit for it than I and I will devote myself to the discouraging
words for those who deserve them. Hey, somebody has got to do it or the
group would surely go to hell in a hand basket. I will try to prevent that
to the best of my ability.

The other cycling newsgroups are much worse than ARBR ever was. They are
just chock full of numskulls, knaves and scoundrels. They are also rampant
with one-liners. I will see to it that we here on ARBR do not sink to their
abysmal level. The main problem that ARBR has is just getting enough people
to post in the first place, regardless of quality. I hope I have not scared
off all the idiots, morons and imbeciles. It may be that we need a few of
them around just to keep things going.

ARBR has been close to death many times in the past year or so, but it
always seems to come back from the brink. It is usually some idiot like NYC
who manages to save us from ourselves, so I do not want to be too harsh on
him either. Let's face it, if everyone was like me there would be no one
    here, not even me!
