    Rob er Pete,

Could this info on your 'new found' website explain why you found it?

Publisher - Robert Walters Rob is the founder of TT and has been racing for over 20 years. Rob has
competed in over 150 races including the Inaugural Ironman Lake Placid in 1999. His first child was
born exactly 9 months later making him a true IronBaby. Since then Rob has laid low and kept himself
to one or two races a year. In his free time he can be seen Mountain Biking behind his house with
his buddies in their own private 20 miles of single track. Recently Rob and his wife Christine have
adopted a baby girl from the Republic of Georgia. She is doing well in her new world.

  3. So Donovan, assuming the voting goes *your way* and I'm relegated to one ID, would you block it? How
would/could you get through a single day without verbalige from me? I bet by noon the first day
you'd crack up and beg me to start using multiple ID's.

If that proved to be a problem, I'd take it out of my killfile. I'm not anticipating any
    problems though.

Actually, I don't have you killfiled now -- that way, I can start reporting you again if you get
    out of line.

    Cheers,

<snip> LOL...always humorous to see someone "busted" and setting off alarms on the
    disingenuous-inauthentic detector.

No harm, no foul...let the guy plug his stuff....he's trying to get it up and off the ground....I
am though curious on the business angle in that with "0" on the messege board, "0" on the
classified ads, 33 visitors total and 3 registered members..I wonder what all he/they get for all
    those banner ads?

I'm going to register and help the cause...why not...good luck Rob/Pete.

    Andrew...

I haven't changed, so how do you figure?

  7. Unfortunately, Peter meant that literally. He really came across the jogger mag.

    LOL. Well spotted.

If someone resorts to something that lame, he doesn't even deserve a look.

Hey Rob/Pete - What would have been wrong with "I've just started a new running oriented web site.
Please stop by and check it out..."

    Straightforward, honest...

I did a post over at Pete/Rob's. I personally don't like the banner ads, especially so many of them.
Yet, that's what it is about if selling is your business. You have only to look at the newspaper to
realize that the news is only filler to sell the ad space.

As Mike said, it's easier to be straight forward rather than be caught up in one's own web of what
    looks like possible deception.

Again it may have been Rob's post, or....maybe not. Doesn't make sense that the editor of Triathlon
Magazine wouldn't have been straight up and invited rec.runners over to the site.

    Anyway my thoughts.

Below is a post from a few years back addressed to someone who may have been the poster or
    possibly not.

    Ozzie

Bad Marketing or someone tarnishing your business name with the running community: Was: I had ankle
    pain. N9UZVtyC

    Dear Jimmy,

Not knowing if you sent this or if it came from a competitor or someone who wants to impugn or
tarnish your reputation or good will, I thought you would be interested in what was sent to
    rec.running.

Also it could have been sent by someone who has offered you an email campaign or an internet blast
    or who you hired.

I have blindcopied this to you because I do not know who sent this post.

If it is from you, I would take care of protecting your reputation as a business person. If you
didn't sent this, then I hope this is some assistance in helping you be aware that there is someone
doing you a disservice and possibly damaging your businesses..

I have not given your web site out in this post and took it out of the original email in case
this post didn't come from you. Also I didn't want to perpetrate any further damage if it was
    not from you.

I looked up both sites and found that you were/are the owner of the domain names of: f**********.com
    S******.com Creation date: 12/30/2001 00:49:43 Expiration date: 12/30/2003 00:49:43

I hope that you or someone else has not damaged your business reputation.

In health and on the run, Ozzie Gontang

  10. Yeah sorry about that. Just didn't want to be that obvious about a direct plug. Anyway enjoy the
site. Everyone makes mistakes.... : )

The site is brand spanking new so that is why there isn't alot of content on it. With
TransitionTimes.com we published 4000+ articles this year so we hope this one will be the same.

Either way consider being a local editor for your state. It is very rewarding and helps your local
    running community.

    Thanks.....Rob/Pete
