I fitted my mk. 3 plastic safety device to my bike today, but it is so close to the centre of the handlebars, I have to move my hand off the hand grip to push the button. Where is the best place to put this. (any closer to the hand grip and it will interfere with the gear selector).
Anyway I was half way to work this afternoon, not having a chance to test it, and comeing the other way was a sith sitting down, I could not resist giving a quick toot.

This is the only problem I've found with the Air Zound (especially on uprights where the weight is on the hands); those circumstances where it would be appropriate are often ones where the potential loss of control required to toot is not an option.

I put mine within thumbing reach of the left hand, on the basis that i) in an ohshityouprat situation my right hand will be most efficient braking [1] and in extremis I can drop the left hand back fully onto the grip for extra control. I tend to use mine preemptively, anyhow, before the situation deteriorates sufficiently that I do need maximum braking and control.
Hi, What is the maximum size handle bar will the Airzound fit. Most if not all bells will not fit the bar on my Scott. TIA Ian

Another good reason for Rohloff hub gears. You only have gear shifters on one side so blasting the Air Zound is only a thumb movement away.
I used my Air Zound for the first time on a cycle training session yesterday. The group were cycling past a driveway from which a motorist was reversing. The sound encouraged the motorist to remember the purpose of the brake pedal.

Personally, I threw the bracket that was supplied with the AirZound straight into the bin and used zip-ties instead. I think others would support me in the assertion that the bracket is useless. Nice horn though.
