  1. Hi,

Just wanted to share with all of you a couple of new pics on my ATT
homepage. Though they were both taken by school photographers, they still
look grainy since I had to scan and then 'play' with the sizes. But they
give a good indication of how far I've come in a little less than a year.

(I'm having a hard time believing what I see, myself!)

wow - so, how does it feel? it's almost a different world isn't it? buying
clothes, people's attitudes - it's crazy! I only asked because for me, I was
only overweight for a few years and i saw the contrast in Black & White. I
can't imagine what it's like for someone who was large their whole life and
loses it all in 1-2 years, again a stark contrast, I bet!

  12. It feels WONDERFUL! Getting so many compliments, not just from my school
colleagues, but also from the students (it's an elementary school, so it's
great when even the youngest kids make comments to me.) When school started
this fall, many kids didn't even recognize me!

I know that my general outlook on life has changed toward the positive. And
I know that others have noticed the different attitude, as well as my new
    'body.'

  13. Thanks, Ig! I remember a while back when I was obsessing over the scale.
Then, suddenly, I had the realization that the numbers don't really matter,
and I began to enjoy wearing smaller clothes, being in control of my
appetite, and feeling and looking MUCH better.

I have only 30 pounds or so till I hit my goal, but I'm purposefully slowing
down and taking my time. It'll come off when it is ready to drop!

OTOH, it isn't coming back once it's gone!

Linda, if you are like me, then getting to normal weight will feel
like the biggest victory of your life and every day, literally, will
be a celebration! It's been over a year since I reached normal weight,
and every day is special for me because of that.

It's not the number that is important, it is being slim, feeling good
    and being in control.
