Just thought I'd say hi to everyone. Nice forums. Hope to pick up quite a bit of info. Maybe I can improve my cycling some. I'm a casual rider, mostly road but I mountain bike sometimes. oh..and go Lance! 😄

Welcome aboard Mex. I'm about a week new here myself. Plenty of info here to answer any of your questions.
Happy riding.

Me too - bought my bike (Giant OCR-1) on Sunday and I am really enjoying it, albeit in the very short rides so far. I did a 9.7 mile run on my first day but have only had time for a couple of short rides (2-3 miles) over the past couple of evenings. It's amazing, though, that a hill near my home was a killer for me on that first ride - and now really ain't that bad :-)As I have said on a seperate thread I am very number-driven so I am eager to get a computer. A work friend of mine made the mistake of showing me his Polar S720i. And now my "expected budget" has gone from $150 to the $250 or so I'd need to pay for that. I think it may be difficult to ignore :-)
Well, anyway, enjoy your bike (what do you have, BTW?).

3 Bikes. Specialized StumpJumper (can't remember the exact model), Trek Road bike (again can't remeber model), and newest addition for everyday riding, Specialized Langster. I ride the Langster the most. It's a great bike for city riding. Gear ratio isn't that bad for hills or flat areas. -

Actually I shouldn't reply as so to live up to my "I have been around a while snotty, carbon bike frame type roadie better than you attitude" but I feel generous today. Just kidding.
May you have a song in your heart and the wind at your back. Ride hard live well.
Welcome. -
I wish I could afford a carbon fiber bike! Then again, I'd feel like a poser if I did own and ride one. I'm just not that hardcore of a rider. Well, sorta hardcore, I do own 3 bikes. 😄
