Here's a new muni I just built. It's the second frame I have built for
this wheel and I didn't much like the way the first one turned out. I
was hesitant to copy a Hunter but since I have no plans to sell them
and either way I wasn't going to be buying a Hunter I don't feel like I
have done Rick any harm. And hey don't they say the most sincere form
of flattery is imitation. I didn't do this because I was trying to save
money I just like building my own unicycles. It is also unique because
I used a wide UDC Coker hub and a 26" Large Marge rim so the brake
mounts need to be set wider than standard. I know Hunter will build
anything you want but I expect the wait for a special order would be a
couple of months.
The first frame I built was made to also fit the 3.7" Endomorph tire
but I realy hated it. I did like the way the Large Marge worked with a
3" tire and I also realy like the 26" size with 175mm cranks. I want to
have a KH moment hub widend and rebuild the wheel with it, but for now
I am happy with the UDC hub and the Shimano XT cranks.
It was the most difficult frame I have built so far. I had to make a
tubing bender to bend the fork tubes. It worked realy well and the
bends came out great.
