I used to read RBT but the wit to twit ratio puts me off nowadays, and I
don't have the time to watch the "intelligent design" proponents evolve
out of the species.

I see you can read minds. Wonderful, let's do a "Psychic Reader" tour
in California. I'll handle the business end, you can be the mystical,
New Age twit. If you can give massages, we'll make even more. Whaddya
think?
In the interim, I'll use this Sig Line in URC:
"Always wear a helmet whilst cycling, don't leave home without it."

Can't be bothered to tell us why you posted the original thread, with the
completely biased poll then?

1) The poll was seeking input about first hand experiences from riders
who *choose* to wear helmets. I wasn't looking for anything from the
AHZ group. You don't want to wear a helmet? That's fine by me.
2) I posted the poll to RBT *only*. Some AHZ (probably "jtaylor"😉
crossposted it to URC. If that bugs you, take it up with then.
Now, since you chose to troll me:

I sometimes choose to wear a helmet, there are pictures of me doing so
on my web pages and one of them was published in "Cycle". How does that
fit with me being an "Anti Helmet Zealot"?
Pete.

I don't see that there's anything wrong with being anti helmet zealot.
I'm rather opposed to helmet zealots myself.
Just remember, you don't need to be anti helmet to be anti helmet zealot

All of which neatly sums up your attitude to anyone who disagrees with you.
Despite the fact that no-one has said that they are anti-helmet, only that
the facts do not support their use, you label them AHZs, and use a sig which
could be described as "Pro Helmet Zealot".
If you are capable of independent thought, instead of merely swallowing the
propaganda of the PHZs, you might like to consider why you feel so
threatened by people who disagree with you. Is it perhaps that their case
is stronger than yours, and failing to prove your case through logical
argument, you have to resort to bluster to maintain your self-credibility?
Try standing back and reviewing the evidence with an open mind. Or is that
just too difficult for a PHZ?

Well, Burt, I see you are a bit shy about replying in public, but
prefer private email.
Well, I disagree, so here we are.
I'm so glad you appreciated my point: a four keystroke description of
you. Rather elegant, and obviously accurate.
And let's restrict discourse to Usenet, eh? Cluttered inboxes are so
messy. ;-)

Not only can you not get the basic facts on helmet benefits right, you
can't even get your rhyming slang right.
