No one who wants to live would ride to Boston on a bike for work. Good luck

I have over 30 years of bike commuting in Boston and still alive so far. I think I would be dead from over weight and boredom without the biking. It sure keeps the mind, eyes and knees awake. Also voice, because I shoult instead of honking or ringing at people who try to kill me.

  2. CCCC Members:

There will be a club ride on Saturday October 23rd. Meet at 9:45 AM for a prompt 10:00
AM departure at Cheshire Park on Route 10 in the northern part of Cheshire. The ride will be 25 miles long and will consist of mostly rolling terrain, with a few modest hills. The average speed will be 12-16 mph. There will be a cue sheet. Helmets required. Rain cancels.

    Gary,

I live in Windsor & would like to go on a ride with the club someday soon. Do you do any Sunday morning rides? The evening rides might be getting tough at this point.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunatley that's when my son's soccer game starts. 2 weeks left, so hopefully there'll be more coming up.

Anyone from Connecticut? I'm new to Wethersfield. I used to live East of the river. Cycling on this side has been a guessing game with routs. I'm exploring but it will take some time to get accustomed to the new terrain. Anyone up for a ride? Send me a private message.🙂

New London, CT here. Would enjoy a nice ride.😎

  5. Wallingford CT here. anyone out there looking to do some training rides? I race, but there aren't many teamates in my area. (www.capitalveloclub.com)

Veloman I'd love to ride with you but I'd bet my fast days are your recovery rides. 🙁 I average around 17mph on relatively flat rides.

If that's not too slow for you I'm good every other weekend.

  7. VELOMANCT , I'm sure you know Johnny the Pieman. He's a close friend of mine. I also knew Kieth. What a tragedy. He was a great guy and great rider too. Sorry I can't help you. I live in Wethersfield. Moved over the river from East Hartford last year. Riding was better on that side. I'm exploring. Some good riding out toward Middlefield....I just have to learn the roads.

    Good Luck Bro

if you are from hartford, that is kind of far. I do do some rides at around 17mph average, it all depends on what I am working on.

I'm not sure I know Johnny the pieman, I know a John Legere though. I am a new member this year so I don't know everyone that well. Middlefield does have some good routes that I often take.
