already -- I've only had them a week. I don't walk far in them, as
it's almost impossible; but is this usual? I didn't get cleat covers,
but presumably they come with a new set of cleats... Has anyone else
had this problem?
I have Look Keo's too, which I love. I came from getting dead toes with
SPD's to the comfort and positive support of Keo pedals, but the wear does
irritate me.
I notice more and more stores are stocking the cleats with covers, which are
*essential* to prevent excess wear - but they do wear quite badly from
putting one's feet down when stopped, etc. Be aware also that the pedals,
being polyamide, wear too. I've just replaced mine after 8,000 miles and a
year of use. Grit and dust between the cleat and pedal wear both away, but I
guess it's the price one pays for such a comfortable system.
I've often mused that if they made the cleats from Ti or even Al alloy and
pedals from similar if they'd be any better...
