New bikes all around

We're sitting on our bikes in the living room, watching
the game, complementing each other on our acquisitions,
drinking beer, playing with all the adjustments ...
Patrick's wife is enjoying this more than us, I guess we
were acting like little boys, but what does she expect.
The truth is, nothing more than she got! Besides, she was
drinking Tripel as well.

We can't wait to get the bikes out, but Patrick is
traveling this week, and the local trails are very, very
muddy. It will have to wait until the weekend, if no more
rain and snow comes. I haven't had a new mountain bike in
5 years, and this is the wettest spring we have had in 5
years, go figure.

Congrats on the new ride. I'm sure it's killin' ya not to be
able to ride it as it was meant to be ridden. Something
about the innocent joy of a new bicycle, regardless of age
or situation. It's like being 9 years old at Christmas time.
No matter how old you really are or what time of year it is,
there's just a certain magic that makes it glow.

all, just about how they made me and my buddy feel, and how
his wife had to point it out to us. These could be Trek
520's or Seven FS rigs, it really doesn't matter, they will
both get ridden and we will both enjoy the hell out of them
... as soon as the trails dry out.
