New Bike

20" front, 19" rear.

I was wondering about that. The rear looked a tiny bit smaller, but I
attributed that to an optical illusion . . makes me want to get out on
my 20"er. I need a front brake on there for anything fun.

Yes, that is a commonly used method of protecting the chainring, freewheel
and bb on a mod trials bike. You can also use it to help "climb" up
technical sections on a course.

I don't know if Ted has a brother or not...

Are my eyes fooling me, or does that crankset freewheel as well? Is the
gearing around 1:1? How thick's the bashplate?

Are those HS33s on the rear? Those ZuZus crack very easily if you bin it
doing trials stuff, BTW...

No seat would get you ticketed/arrested in Gainesville... gotta love cops
with nothing to do.

I ride stock... mod would be really weird for me because I'm used to the
pedalkick on 26" wheels... it's like I pass the balance point way too quick
on 20" bikes and the bike just shoots out ahead of me.

Yes, Echo front freewheel crankset with White Industries ENO freewheel. Rear
has a TNT Revolver fixed hub with a Dura Ace fixed cog. Ratio is 18T on the
front and 12T on the rear. Bashplate is cnc'd from a block of aluminium, not
too thick about 1cm to 1-1/2cm (varies at different points on the plate).

Yes, HS33's on the rear, 2005 version. Can't use a disc brake on the rear,
there is a possibility of ripping the rear triangle off the bike when doing
a power move with your rear wheel. HS33's are VERY strong. I've have been
using this pair of Zu Zu's for about 6-7 yrs now with zero problems. I have
used it on my bmx (that was a different lifetime ago...), on my DH bike
(another different lifetime ago...) and on my previous trials bike. Not one
single problem.

I have the same problem, but with 26" wheels. I guess its because I am a
smaller person, its easier for me to ride a mod.
