Yes, I thought it was, somehow. I think me and computers are destined not to get on. I was burning
some small games this evening for the (non-networked) machine upstairs, and all I ended up with was
a host of errors. Not the first time, either, dammit. Grrrr.

I've got Kazaa Lite version 2.10 build 3 if you or anyone else wants me to email it, it's 2.86mb. I
too have noticed that the old website now redirects to eMule.

Recently, I've been using something called Overnet instead: overnet.comovernet.comOpen ↗ When installed,
you go to the options menu and make sure it is set to handle ed2k links from Internet Explorer, then
go to www.sharereactor.com and search for what you want there. When you've found your downloaded,
select/add the files, and Overnet should automatically load and start transferring the files.
Sometimes, the files will be CD images, so you'll have to write them straight to CD, but I've also
had zip and rar files too.

CD's always worked, but sometimes, CD-R's wouldn't work, and sometimes they would. The problem got
worse and worse, and now, only original CD's work in it. But it's a Pentium 133Mhz and is only used
by my little brother and sister as a 'mess about' PC, so no worries.

If it did become a problem for you, check out how cheap plain CD-ROM drives are these days. One
of my local suppliers, Aria (.co.uk) in Manchester, lists 5 different 52x CD-ROM drives at
between 12.93 and
14.10 including VAT. Even PC World (spit) do a 52x CD-ROM for 14.99 inc VAT.

God, that's nothing! Prices for certain things have come down so much. I never wanted to spend money
on this PC, especially as it's so old now, but I will definitely keep this in mind should it start
to become a problem. I'm thinking of setting up a wireless home network soon, so would possible
start using this PC more, as an Internet PC.
