Need help with shoes

In that case you need to look for them on a bike shop not on online shops, just try every different brand and size you can find. Riding in discomfort is no fun, i wouldn't know how to help you better but good luck,

Not a traditional cycling shoe, but I've bought two pairs of Salomon hikers at REI for use as cycling shoes, and I really like them. They have a pull cord lacing system, with a pocket to secure down the excess, so nothing to catch in the chain. Stiff soles for good transfer. Seem to grip pedals very well, but I'm not a pro, nor do I ride for speed or competition. The REI staffer told me they have sold a lot as alternative cycling shoes.

Thanks for the help! I should add that I'm looking for a shoe I can mount cleats on for clipless pedals. Just looking for brand that carry wider road shoes. The shop I buy all my gear from only has a very small selection but can order in any brand so I'm looking for a brand to do research on so my local shop can order them in for me to test out. Any further input would be a great help! Thanks

Specialized shoes fit wider feet. Likewise does Scott, Lake, and Northwave. Most of Sidi's shoes are available in a Mega size, and some Shimano shoes fit wide feet. Note that Sidi Mega sized shoes and some Shimano shoes can fit a wide foot yet have a narrow toebox. As such, it's important to try on shoes before you buy. The last thing you want is a pair of shoes that don't fit your feet. Such shoes will make for a sub-optimal day in the saddle.

Sometimes a wide with needs to be special ordered. Some shoe stores already carry them. I find the store depends upon the area. I would find my exact sizes north of here in the same store that's local but they would actually have much for me right here. So it is always best to figure out what you wear first and don't just buy something. Go and try things on and get a real shoe sales person to fit you. Every brand can run different It just sounds like you need a wide with and not regular. You can always buy them online after you know what you want.
All these brands that they are talking about here are good.
