Need an inexpensive bike

Wow, you can't edit posts. That sucks...

It's for college. Very flat terrain, 8 miles both ways, I'll ride about 15-20 miles a day. I'll probably ride about 15MPH (i do 20MPH at the gym without pushing against any winds)

It'll probably hold 210 lbs until I lose some weight.

I measured my crotch to the floor and got 34". THen I multiplied it by .67 and got 22.78. Is that bike a good size for me? Is it a good buy for my use?

I know nothing about bikes. Any help is appreciated.

In a very rough generalization, I'd say you want a 56 cm frame, then.

Straddle the frame, (if possible). there should be about 1-2 inches (30-50 CM) of clearance between
the tiop tube and you.

The rest is adjustable (more or less) and should be done while on the bike. Here's a basic guide:

Is that good for me? I measure, from crotch to floor, 32" (times .67 is 22". Which measurement corresponds to the one I took? Is that close enough?

What is Top Tube? 😕

Also, should I bid $140-170 on that bike? Is it worth that much?

Keep in mind this is a hybrid bike, so the frame size is measured more like a mountain bike than
a road bike (higher bottom bracket height and shallower angles). The listing shows it as a 21"
frame which is about a 54cm frame. I ride a 56cm hybrid frame at 6' so I would say you are in
the ballpark.

A hybrid is probably the exact type of bike you should be looking at. It gives you a nice upright
riding style, but with higher pressure, narrower tires than a mountain bike. Nice relaxed geometry
in the frame and fork mean it will be easier to ride than a road bike too.

All in all, this sounds like a good fit - size and style wise.
