A saddle is a very personal thing. What's comfortable for one person will
be uncomfortable for another. Maybe someone might know of some good way to
predict if a seat will be comfortable for you; its been hit-or-miss for
me. At the very least, the bones in your [censored] that will hold all the
weight (sometimes called "sit bones"😉 need to rest on the saddle.

I happened to win a saddle from WTB that I find very comfortable. But

seems a lot of people do like them. Mine's a "Laser V" model; it sells for
about $90, but the "Speed V" models are similar and sell for much less.

As others will tell you, it's a pretty personal thing. My bike came with
an SGD saddle, which was TERRIBLE. I eventually went with a WTB Speed V
Comp. It seemed to have lots of good reviews, and I saw plenty of them out
on the trail. I've been using it around 1 year, and I'd give it an 8 out
of 10 on comfort (in regards to long rides). Actually, it's the most
comfortable saddle I've tried, but of course, it could always be better.
Then again, I have no idea what saddle would be better then the Speed.

Just to say something other than WTB, I like Terry saddles, the fly, or
dragonfly, or whatever else they're calling their men's line now fits me
well.

Just changed bike and although my old bike has a WTB Speed V saddle and the
new one also came with that I got my LBS to change the saddle to a
Specialized BG2 - best choice I ever made and I got my wife thee WSD version
and she loves that.

I have a Serfas RX I liked quite a bit. It's not wide and not narrow, has a
good amount of padding, and even has a nice deep groove down the middle to
releive our "pinch point". I'm not sure if it will fit your tastes, but
it's a pretty decent saddle. For what it's worth, I'm 5'8" 225lbs, so if
it's cushy to me, it's pretty cushy 🙂

I've also done 60 mile rides with this saddle and only thing sore was my leg
muscles....my ubtt was still nice and comfy.

Not to ride that pony too hard, *but* I'd second the WTB Rocket seats. I have one and a "Special Ed" branded wedge seat. They are both fine, but I'd have to say I pefer the WTB by a little bit.
