Tried with an order of $130 and it said:
"
Please correct: The Coupon You Entered Does Not Exist.
"
Also, there was one listed on fatwallet.com (W189) that also does not work.
Where did it come from? Was it entered properly?
Here's a www.performancebike.com 20% off coupon (same company as Nashbar, maybe the stuff you want is there too)
6000374
expires 15 April
hurry hurry!
I've used the Performance one already! But I just got a Nashbar catalog with W190 (10%) exp 5/10/04, but it doesn't work either on a sample order...
Maybe their web form is messed up?
BTW, is it known that Nashbar and Performance are the same company? They seem to have similar generic items in some respects, but I have found that sometimes they both don't offer the same stuff in certain areas.
With Nashbar coupons, you can order on the web, but ... are you ready.... you have to call Nashbar after you complete your order, even the next day, and tell the CS rep your order number, and ask her/him to apply the discount coupon. The CS reps generally know the coupon codes NEVER work on the web, and I've never had a problem calling in the coupon code for the discount.
From what I gather, Performance Bike, Nashbar, and Supergo have the same parent company and procedures.
They also have the same canned responses, right down to the misspelling...
"Dear Customer:
Performance is unable to ship outside the continental US without an address verification for the cardholder. The bank was unable to provide this information. The order has been cancelled. If you would like to replace the order, please mail in an International Money order is US dollars. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you.

(they require address verification for international orders, something my bank won't do due to privacy reasons)

The Nashbar catalog coupon codes used to work on the web site, but stopped working sometime this past winter. A rep told me to reference the catalog coupon code in the "special instructions" (or is it "Comments"?) field of the web form and ask that it be applied to the order, (as in "Please apply coupon code W190 to this order"😉. I tried it last month and they did apply the discount. How high-tech!
Yeah, it does work that way. I was discounted 10% on a recent order for mentioning it in the form.

That code came from the catalog also. I also tried to use it but it didnt work (similar fail message) I guess the solutions posted are the answer.
How does one end up being given one of these "coupon" codes with the catalog. Is it a matter of spending enough with them first?

You're right -- Performance owns Supergo and Nashbar. I'm not sure when the Nashbar acquisition occured, but Supergo was bought up fairly recently.

No, there is a "Take 10% off" printed on the front cover in 72 Point type (that's big) and then the coupon code is underneath in something like 8 point type (that's small!)

Yeah, but I mean that I have noticed those on my cats that I receive in the mail.

Newest Nashbar coupon code is W196 - no idea when it expires, probably at the end of October.
You can get the latest valid coupon code from here....
