Narrowest UK Cycle Lane ?

Nothing too surprising there, but it was interesting to see at least two
photos of Edinburgh in there. While ECC may be somewhat hap-hazard with
regard to their treatment of cyclists (See A90!) they have committed to
putting an ASL at every traffic lighted junction in the city. The
prevalence of bus lanes almost makes up for the cycle tracks, which can
be easily ignored anyway.

Not just narrow, but its got a drain in the middle (which along with
the double yellow lines make it very interesting when its wet), parked
cars on the exits outside working hours and a similar sibling on the
other side of the road.

Where is that? It strikes me as being remarkably like the one outside the
Malden Centre in New Malden (though it is a long time since I have been
along Blagdon Road.

Its Harley Road in the London borough of Brent (or Harlesden, if you're
not trying to get a cab home late at night).

There is one on the footpath alongside the A5199 in Wigston, Leics. that is
interrupted by a pedestrian barrier. I don't mean the barrier is in the
cyclepath I mean the line marking the cycle path is so near the kerb it
aligns with the barrier.
The only person I can imagine cycling on the path between the barrier and
kerb is a skinny one-legged, armless pixie on a mono-fork saddle-less uni.

Not specifically bike related but similar council idiocy; in Shepherd's Bush,
there is a wide (~= 10'😉 alley between two roads. It has wheelchair (and bike)
friendly letdowns at either end (and no cycling prohibited markings of any
kind). At one end, there are yellow lines so that wheelchairs and bikes trying
to access the alley way can gain entry and egress to the road. At the other end
is a resident's parking bay, which means they can't.

Not so much a problem for a cyclist as an annoyance, because they can get off
and find a gap, but bad news for those with motorised wheelchairs, because there
are high kerbs with no further letdows (or gaps in the parking bays) for some
distance either side.

I realise that this is probably my fault (or am I just getting paranoid).

One of them must have been so incensed by not being able to park there
that they left half a concrete block near it to take out an
unsuspecting late night cycle path user (me), but at least I got up to
date on my tetanus jabs as a result...
