I was out for a spin last night and had a brief chat while waiting for a light to change with a chap on an interesting small-wheeled bike - a Giant. A quick scan of the Giant website didn't turn anything up, so I'm looking for help to identify it.
The main feature was a beam frame with sturdy, square, integral racks front and rear. Hard to tell the colour in the street lighting, but it might have been chocolate brown or plum with orange decals. 20" wheels front and rear with fattish slick tyres and V-brakes. Plug-in, integrated rechargeable light at the front. Strange demountable handlebar that doubles as a lock, leaving the brake levers (so it seemed) attached to the stem.

It sounds mostly like a Giant Revive. Don't know about the funny bars though.
Ah... that turned up in VeloVision as a home-build prototype by a chap in NL, good to see it made it to the Big Time as it's a nice piece of work.
