Well, Rob, I know how you feel because I am losing about a pound a week
instead of the 10 pounds a month I had dreamed about, and I realize even
THAT will probably slow down at some point, BUT....
even if it DOES take 3 years, (or 5 or 10....) isn't getting there the
object and not the amount of time it takes to do it? I have started telling
myself every day that my friends and family are not going to love me any
better at 110 pounds than they do at 220, so what's the rush? I admit, I am
impatient to be an "after" photograph myself, but if the last 3.5 months are
any indication, the time will fly and before I know it, I WILL be posting my
pics and proudly proclaiming that I am on maintenance. Don't give up Rob.
The journey of a thousand miles ( or 3 years) begins with a single step. 🙂"rob" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

And if you did not follow the program what would your weight
be in 3 years?Half pound per week is not bad. I slowed down to that at a
few points along the way.Hey, shake up your eating patterns. Different foods? More
protein? Some healthy fats? More water? Walk some more?Good luck.

another 4-6 months to get down to my target (unless life get
in the way). If I'm anywhere near my target after three
years from the start I'll be a happy bunny 🙂If you want slow then on 2nd august 2003 I was 201
pounds. On 13th march 2004 I was 199 pounds. Of course I
had some holiday and christmas in between, but 2 pound in
7 months !!!There are some things you can do. Check your calorie
counting (measure everything), check the nutrition info on
all your food - some stuff changes over time. Check portion
control. Make sure you are doing some exercise. If you have
just started exercise that in itself can stall weightloss
while your body gets used to it and restores the water
balance. Check out how many calories you eat and expend. The
difference should be about 500 a day before taking into
account any lifting or cardio.Good luck getting back on track. How fast you finish doesn't
matter, taking part is all that counts.Ray

Sometimes weight loss slows down even though you are doing
everything "right". You may want to shake things up a bit...
change your diet, your exercise routine, or follow the
wendie plan.--

I am going through a similar slow down. 30 days and I am
playing with the same +/- 2 pounds so you are ahead of me.-Try mixing up your menus. Have something different every
day for breakfast. That helped me the last time I got stuck
and am going to try and do this going forward.-double check your journal to make sure you recording EVERY
thing you eat or drink. Check it for accuracy too. My leader
said that it help her to avoid foods/places where she did
not know exactly how many points you are eating. We tend to
under estimate NOT over estimate our points. As a result, we
eat more points than we think we did and we lose slower."rob" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

Here's the thing, Rob. You can lose the weight over three
years or you can stay where you are. In either cawse, in
three years you will be three years older. So you can be
three years older and achieve your goal or you can be three
years older and stay where you are (if you don't gain more). And, I'm not being flip. When I went back to school (at 51,
I am 5 classes away from my Bachelors) a few years ago. I
noted to a friend that I would be 52 by the time I got my
Bachelors. Her response was that I could be 52 with my
degree, or 52 without it, but in either case I would be 52.
And that knowledge has gotten me through more than one
rough class.rob said:

Hi, Rob, 3 years will pass anyway, so you might as well try to live a
healthy life style or you could stay the same. It's your choice. How long
were you heavy? If you were heavy more than 3 years, you are still ahead.
Take Care
