very very nice. i work in a trek store. the bikes are great. post some feedback on the bike. you will enjoy the ride.
-
I like the new Trek bikes too! I want a custom built Astana frame and Campy Record with Ti Shamal Ultras! Can't afford that!
Unfortunately, I think the paint job / color combo on your bike sucks! Looks like an ugly bike!

I totally disagree. I think that it looks like a great bike. Yellow is highly visible and the blue with the magenta flames is fantastic. All in all, I think that the paint job and color combo is great. I want one! Each to his own though. I guess that is the reason that bikes come in all kinds of color combinations. In my opinion, a BMX bike is ugly, total waste of good tubing.

Yup. That's a nice paint job. I think Trek's looked better when they had quasi-level top tubes, but still, this bike is still sharp. It'd be nice if more bike commpanies offered some range of custom-ish paint jobs.

Yet if I posted a BMX painted in same combo you'd be drooling. That is if you were honest enough, ahh na you'd pick that apart too. -

The bike rides like a dream, not sure if it's the frame or the racexlite wheels. I'm so happy I bought this bike. There have been other haters in my area who saw the pics on facebook, then when they see it in person the talking stops and the qawking starts. -

I'll bet that at least part of it is the racexlites. I bought a pair off the net and they are the best wheels that I have ever ridden. Of course I haven't ridden many of the newest exoctics that are out there.
-
Remember: RaceXLites aren't rideable when you break a spoke.....or if you're one of the lucky ones, like me, that had one of the self-destructing rear hub flanges.
Worst spoke pattern idea ever: paired spokes.

well... it's an "original" bike, I don't like the wheelset at all, but the frame and the groupset are great...perhaps I would remove white and red things, and I would insist on yellow / blue / black (also talking about wheels, a mono-black set always offers a good view)
btw, the handlebar has been mounted by a monkey...

Black wheels would look best, as would black hoods and tape (Blue tape would work, too.). I'd prolly bin the white saddle, too, just 'cuz I'm not a white saddle guy.
The handlebars look like they're positioned fine to me, especially given the angle from which the piccie was taken. Handlebars should be set up so that they're comfy. That's it. Same with brifters.

This was how it was sitting in shop when I got there, it has obvioously since been fitted and looks different. About the wheelset I ride with one guy in particular who has had the same wheelset for 2 years 18,000km no problem and he's well over 200lbs. I'll take my chance on them. -

Just keep it in the back of your mind that RaceXLites have a documented history of such failures.

Yeah I read the reviews and I also did a lot of asking around in the two clubs I ride with and there are a few guys that have had issues with the racelites but not xlites I don't know, because everyone I talked with said the same thing about any wheel. There are just as many mavic haters in the club too for problems they have had. About the only wheelsets I heard no negative on was custom build ones. I do however have a chubby for a set of Reynold Assults but that will be next year.

People should be Mavic haters for their stupid Ksyrium spokes and Mavic hubs in general.
I liked my RaceXLites--although they weren't light light Keith B. claimed--until the DS rear hub flange went kablooey. The hub innards were nice: DT 240s front and back. The enginerd in me always wondered about the slotted holes in the rear hub flanges--2 spokes per hole didn't make a lot of sense. I don't know what Bontrager did to modify the hubs after the flange failures started happening. At least Bontrager didn't go with tubular CF spokes.
