    pic taken ;-)

I was going to say he looks pretty good. Yeah his hair is grey, but some people just do that early.
I've got a physician friend who is 90% grey at
    38. Kinda funny because she's baby faced and looks about 20 with a cap on.

It is just the hair and the slightly wrinkled face typical of pro cyclists and anyone else that
spent that much time in the sun.

Merckx is 6 years older than Frank and doesn't look nearly as old, even with all his baby fat.

Then again, Lemond has looked older than his years for awhile now.

Really? I would rather look like Moser any day. I think it depends on how you react to the
    white hair.

On the basis that dyeing your hair is cheaper than getting liposuction,

    Ignoranus,

Enhanced capilirization and aerobic capacity of the penis won't improve your cycling performance,
although frequent wanking before a race might make you a few grams lighter.

    Frankie Moser

    Looks pretty aged for 52...

The picture is a little washed out from the bright sunlight. Moser actually looks pretty good-
definitely an "homme distingué", as the French would say- the guy just exudes class. I saw Moser pop
out from the tent in the feed zone to do the RAI interview with three laps to go and figured I would
wait patiently until he finished. When I took that shot, Allessandra was getting word from her
director that the RAI interview was delayed a bit so she motioned me in. (she is awesome, she also
helped me get great shots of Tafi at Gent-Wevelgem). I asked Moser to sign a Campy cap that now has
9 Paris-Roubaix winner's autographs (along with Merckx, Hinault, Museeuw, Tafi, Kelly, Madiot,
Vanderaerden, Goodefroot). He prepared to sign on the side of the cap, but I stopped him and told
him I had saved a special place for him- the red, white and green Italian flag stripe that runs up
the center of the cap- he laughed and signed a careful and legible autograph that was worthy of a
bank check. We had dinner in a little place called the Cafe Palazzo- owned and run by Italians. On
Friday night, Moser stopped in- he was like a god to the crowd and the staff- but he was very
friendly and approachable to his fans.

Merckx, on the other hand, looks like your big cuddly Grandpa, in his XXL wooly cardigan.

As for Johan, he spent most of the day huddled up in the Belgian box- popping out on cue when the
race went by- it was almost as if he didn't want to be noticed. And everytime I see him, I'm always
struck by how tall he is.

Another guy that looked good was Pedro Delgado- he looks like he could hop on a bike right
    nowe and race.

I'm glad to hear that some of them have not morphed into Masters Fatties.

    Thanks for the anecdotes.
