always wondered why they gave up on that design. Right now they only have
20" and 16", buy they are coming out with a 26" version for big kids, with

Get with the program, build you own (if you can find an un-chopped sting
ray frame). I have a bike shop in my neighborhood that specializes in
lowriders. They also sell pocket bikes.

I think you're about 20 years behind the times. Since the Evolution engine,
Harleys don't leak oil, they start every time, and don't vibrate. Hell, the
engine on the V-Rod was designed by Porsche. Harleys are as reliable as
anything on the market. Even Triumphs don't leak oil any more.

the MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) t-shirt. I didn't buy/keep any of the
dealer and shop shirts that I've worked for or with.
A v-twin is going to put a lot more strain on individual component parts than
in a 4, 5, or even 6. Pushrod motors are going to need more work than shim
under OHC motors etc...
They are all really good at this point, with the possible exception of Ural.

Yeah the GLs until the redesign which had a major problem with the frame
cracking and failing were about the most reliable bikes out there.
He's had great luck with a great design. Good for him. That does not mean that
they all do that by any stretch of the imagination. Riding habits, fuel and oil
used, type of riding all make a huge difference.
My guess would be that he uses the Wings for the long distance highway touring
they were designed for. That will add a lot of life to the motor as opposed to
the stop and go, low rpm, big thump, high torque most H-Ds are subjected to.

GL1800 frame issue was taken care of by the end of the 2nd year model run.
He rides his Goldwing everyday in L.A. traffic, back and forth to his
office, there is absolutely no way you can convince me that a Harley is
anywhere NEAR as reliable as ANY Japanese bike, it's own record proves that.

Now that we can agree on. I actually boxed all my "Factory" [censored] and buried it
in the attic when I got fed up with both the customers and the "Motor Company".
I haven't owned one in years, and won't buy a new one.
I got out of the circus and I aint goin' back. The new H-Ds are at least as
reliable as the new japanese cruisers in general, and they do take MUCH better
care of buyers for the first year than any Japanese mfr. H-D will warranty just
about anything including minor crash damage in year 1.
That said they are totally over priced, over hyped, over sold, but people keep
lining up to buy more.
