As I said earlier, I am maintaining my weight on a low calorie
somewhat reduced carbs diet. My norm was 150 carbs per day. It
included one slice of bread in the morning. 25%of calories from carbs.
After a suggestion from Cubit, I junked that bread and made no further
changes. My daily carbs now are at about 100-120. I get them mostly
from tomatoes and other vegs.
The results so far are two fold.
One. I am much less hungry and thinking much less about food. I had a
big chicken breast piece this morning -- from a chicken I roasted a
week ago -- and a bunch of tomatoes, and was so not hungry that I
decided to simply skip my lunch. (1048 calories to this time)
Two. I have somewhat less energy and I am not "bursting from energy"
as I used to. This could be unrelated to diet and be simply due to
some lack of sleep, it ishard to say what played a role. I decided to
get more sleep (above 6 hours every day) to see where it gets
me. Also, I overate salt the other day and could be feeling the
consequences. (jerky)
I will keep it ongoing, then add bread back to see if my hunger gets
worse again. Most likely, I will junk bread forever, but I will see if
evidence fully warrants it.
