My friend at work started cycling a few months ago. He has tackled our sport with a lot of enthusiasm. He rides every day, often in the evening on a trainer. He isn't afraid to ride at night with proper lighting. He has even pulled apart a bottom bracket and rebuilt it.
Today he told me about his first flat. He was riding a rigid mountain bike with slicks. He stopped at a shady spot to fix it. When he had finished he couldn't find one of his tire levers. Figuring that he lost it, he got on and rode home, about 10 miles. The repaired tire didn't ride well. When he got home he took it apart and .... (you've probably already guessed it) .... found his missing tire lever inside his tire.
I was having a bad morning at work when he told me this. I really needed the laugh.

Well, that's one newbie error I managed to avoid...though I have lots of others I didn't....

I'll bet he found it easier putting the tire on a second time at home without the lever stuffed inside.
