Favourite walks are idiosyncratic things, though. My favourite walks
currently include a stroll around Waitrose on a Friday evening, and I
have several favourite routes around a variety of outdoor and guitar
shops 🙂

Not fussed about stationary, though if its the sort that sell a good
selection of games too then that's more like it. Though I've never seen

essential for most of the year. The route I take depends on rainfall, mud,
streams in spate, also day and time of day, to avoid people, or as the whim
takes me. Generally between Shelf and Norwood Green, with occasional
extensions to Wyke or Coley. About 6km SW of Bradford Center Yorkshire.
I usually have them to myself :-) I only occasionally stray into Judy Woods
which is a local beauty spot, but too well trodden for me. There are lots
of paths, not marked on OS Explorer. Some paths are marked where there is
no trace on the ground. Must take the new Explorer map one day to walk
the marked paths. There are parts where almost no one goes. :-) Generally
50 ft deep steep sided valleys, where one comes drastically unstuck going
straight up a valley side covered with leaves.

I find you can generally just brush leaves off yourself, unless they
get tangled in your hair, which makes sides of valleys much easier.
Mind you, I've never been in a valley while it's becoming drastically
unstuck. Is it dangerous?

They are a foot or two deep on a 45 degree slope.

I have failed to reach the top, sliding down on your bum is hardly
dangerous. There are bits I would not want to fall down, extra care
required there.

things I want to mark - and they're all dark so colours don't
show up. Where can I get a white laundry/multi surface
marker? It needs to be waterproof to be of any use to me...

I have a white one but it has water soluble ink came in a pack for use on
white/black boards.
