Hi,
I have been LC'ing since January. I decide to do it for 6 months just to
see what might happen. I am at 4 months. In this time I went off plan only
3 times. But I did not binge on any of them and one was unavoidable because
there was nothing low carb. (OK I could have skipped desert but after eating
spaghetti I decided not to). I have only lost 8 pounds. It seems that
there is only on week per month that I loose. It would be the third week of
my menstrual cycle I am at the lowest weight I have been in 3 years. The
other slight advantage is I have had this hair on my chin for years. It is
getting less.
It is also weird how my shape has changed while losing. At first my
clothiers were very loose in the waist, but the hips still fit perfectly.
Now the hips and below are loose but the waist is not as loose as it was. I
also noticed recently that my sleeves are getting looser. It seems that the
fat before it leaves the body moves to another area first.
I do some exercises but not as much as I should. I am 44, and still have 30
pounds left to go. I am hoping that during these 6 months my body will heal
from my sugar abuse. I am not planning on stopping after the 6 months maybe
just reevaluate. Before I started, I would eat something in the morning and
not be able to stop eating until I went to bed at night. Sometimes I felt
sick to my stomach because I ate so much junk but I would eat more to settle
my stomach. I do not want to go back to that.
I am writing this to encourage people, who are not loosing as fast as they
want to,to keep at it. Unless you know you are doing something wrong (like
eating bread) or you are taking advantage of the freedom to eat as much as
you want the weight will come off. We are asking our bodies to go through a
major adjustment. we truly do not know all the things that are going on
inside our body while it makes this adjustment. It took me 44 years and 4
kids to get where I am at today. Why should I expect it to change in 6
months?
