My general ideas on used bike pricing are as follows;

Regardless of condition or quality of the bike, most used bikes must be priced substantially less than what was paid. Last year model new bikes can be purchased on sale from dealers for 25-40% off list prices and come with full factory warranties and dealer service. Most manufacturer warranties only apply to the original purchaser and are not transferable. Some models of bikes or types of bikes retain value better either because of rarity, demand, or other factors--just like cars. Compare your bike to recent sales on eBay for an idea of what the used market is for similar models. Don't expect to make a killing on a used bike sale--expect to take a loss. I am always amazed at how people think that their minimally used bike should get a price nearly as high as new.

I'd say for an entry level bike like yours, in what looks to be great condition, you could look to get 300-350. If the $600 you paid was a heavily discounted sale price, then maybe 400-450. Problem is that you are competing with new bike shop spring sales right now. Others may think significantly differently from me.

After a quick google search, I found a few online retailers offering new 2006 models for $439, down from the original retail price of $599.

You might be able to pull in $300 with a trusting buyer (based on the "only used once" part). I'd say $250 is more realistic.
