  1. Apologies to the one or two responsible people on this forum who might
also happen to crop up in my [censored] list - you are rare.

This list is based on my experiences as a driver as well as a cyclist.

    1. BMW drivers (number 1 by a LONG way)
    2. Other German car drivers (Audi's, Mercs etc)
    3. White van drivers
    4. Carters coaches (only applicable to this part of Norfolk I guess)
    5. 4x4's on the skool run

Well I do drive an A-class Merc, so it's only a teeny-tiny Merc :-) You
missed out First buses and Woody HGVs. You are completely correct about the
local BMWs and Audis. Mind you, cycling back from Dereham yesterday I think
you could add Vauxhall drivers to the list ;-) I'm going to cycle to Norwich
    today - should be fun.

    Cheers, helen s

Totally agreed! I first noticed these when I first started driving in
Glasgow - there seems to be a certain type of confident, aggressive
young successful male who all drive BMWs and all drive appallingly.

What is it about BMWs that appeals so much to these people? They almost
never seem to drive anything else!

It's not just the blokes. Women BMW drivers seem be total arses too in many
    a case.

o Bendy-bus drivers. They are in league with Stan.
o Most of those who go upon two wheels with an engine. Do you lot /ever/
    use your mirrors[1]?
o The Trolls who have repeatedly tried and failed to fill the trench across
the eastbound Ferry Lane, N17, just past the zebra crossing. You owe me an
    inner tube, you twunts.

1 - Idiot Protomod this morning, who decided to change lanes into me while I
was overtaking it - on its right - clearly doesn't

Perhaps. But their arses tend to be prettier, so we can be more
    forgiving.

I beg to differ. I prefer the sight of a nicely honed male [censored]. Female
arses just don't do it for me :-)

Difficult to see them when sat in a car. I won't be forgiving them if they
    run me over.

I was only referring to their van drivers, their cycloposties do a
sterling job with dubious carbon fibre-look headgear and unfeasibly
    small wheels!

Additional: Evening Standard delivery van drivers, and not just because
they're in the pay of those Spawn of Stan, Associated "Newspapers"

Additional 2: The trench referred to yesterday claimed another victim last
night. Healthy traffic tailback due to cyclist being mended by paramedic.

I'd have been told off if I did.. School was closer than that ;-)

I didn't walk to school on my own till I was 8, but I did have a load of
minor roads to cross in suburban London. My daughter (8) can walk to school
on her own. My son (6) is not yet allowed to but can walk with his sister.
He'll be allowed to next year. They might be allowed to go to the park on
their own this summer. They will have two roads to cross by means of Pelican
    crossings, and one minor road.
