2nd & 3rd day, I had terrible headaches,,,,,4th day,,,,,the cravings for
pasta & pizza are gone, so that's a good thing.
Haven't weighed myself so far,,,and won't till next week!
For constipation,,,,in the am. I've been having a Yogurt,,,4 grams of carbs,
with 3 tablespoons of flax,,,,,so far,,,,,,nothing doing!
A salad every day,,,,,,veggies like cauliflower & broccoli,,and tons of
water.
Maybe it takes a while for flax to get in your system?
I do notice my energy level has improved,,,,,and this week, no bread,
muffins, potatoes, rice or pasta.
And I look forward to my 2nd week.
Thanks for all the encouragement you have given me. Just by reading your
posts, it has helped a lot.
Tomorrow, I start incorporating exercise,,by going for a long walk at least
every 2nd day,,,,,now that should get things started!

kicking in pretty soon.--

Well, it's more that it takes your system a week or two, occasionally a
little longer, to adjust to the major change in food. It sounds like you're
doing the right things. Also check the fiber content on veggies and
concentrate on the ones with more fiber - broccoli is great, for instance,
lettuce not so good - if you have any digestive system problems. The
exercise you've got planned will also help a lot, as will your water.Quoted message said:

That's great. It took me about 3 weeks to get to the point where I felt that
increase in energy, but it's wonderful, isn't it? Keep up the good work.HG

One or two tablespoons a day will do it.You're doing great.

Sandy, you don't say if the flax you're using is whole seed or ground. It
works better ground (buy it whole and grind it yourself, it goes bad
quickly once ground). And you don't get any of the nutrients in flax when
you use the whole seeds. They just go right through you.
The addition of bran is a good idea. Try to aim for a minimum 30g fibre a
day including what's in your veggies.Rebecca said:
