He's been here for over a year and you've been here for
less than a week. In that time, I've seen nothing trollish
from him. I also find his posts are usually informed and
correct. You may not like him for some reason,
but

Actually I've been here about 8 months, but that's not the
point. Here's his reply to my initial post:
Quoted message said:There are many terms for this pseudo-disease, as it has
been around
since time immemorial. It always occurs mostly in middle-
aged housewives, and the only treatments (which are never
curative and hardly ever even effective) are drugs and
attention, usually in that order. Psychoactive drugs are
preferred, especially narcotics, antidepressants,
anxiolytics, etc.<
I found his reply, which I took as flippant, quite
insulting, and certainly discouraging, as you can only
imagine if you have a loved one suffering terribly
with this.
His subsequent posts suggested that I figured out what I
know by researching "advocate" newsgroups. That, plus his
other comments such as "pseudo disease" are disparaging and
not helpful.
I think (most) people post here to become informed and
educated, not trivialized. He seemed more interested in
calling me out rather than imparting anything useful or
substantiating his position.
All I wanted was to learn something, not have an arguement-
which in my experience is what "trolls" are looking for.
In any case, I will disregard his posts and stop
engaging in any debate, but I am happy to consider all
opions and comments.
